A Legacy of Hands-On Industry Experience
Thompson Tank is now led by CEO Josh Thompson, representing the third generation of family leadership in the business.
Josh grew up around tank construction from an early age. At just seven years old, he was visiting job sites with his grandfather Jesse, watching crews assemble tanks and learning the fundamentals of the industry firsthand. By age twelve, Josh began working for the company during summers—performing tasks such as organizing materials, maintaining storage areas, and assisting with field operations.
As he continued working alongside experienced crews and mentors, Josh developed a deep understanding of tank construction, field operations, and project management. By his early twenties, he knew that continuing the family legacy at Thompson Tank would become his career.
Josh credits both his grandfather Jesse Thompson and his father Darrell Thompson for shaping the values that guide the company today.
